About Nest Psychiatry
At Nest Psychiatry, we understand that women’s mental health has not been historically prioritized by the medical system. We want to help change that.
We are a team of Harvard-trained psychiatrists who provide women with a nurturing and non-judgmental space where they are seen and heard. Our patients are the most important part of our work and each story matters to us.
As mothers, we understand the weight of societal expectations and the juggling act of multiple roles placed on women. As medical doctors, we are trained to understand how hormone shifts can impact mood and we are here to offer evidence-based treatment.
We focus on a collaborative approach and aim to decrease stigma, increase knowledge, and empower every woman that we treat to make informed choices about their care.

We offer appointments through telehealth and in person. We are currently out of network with health insurances but can provide you a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Andrea Soto, MD
I am an adult psychiatrist trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital residency program. I treat women seeking care for general psychiatric conditions as well as disorders related to the reproductive cycle.

As a mother and physician, I understand how important it is for women to focus on their wellbeing. I provide a tailored approach to mental health treatment that acknowledges the strengths and challenges that are specific to women.
I have received training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. I am further specializing in the psychiatric care of women through the Massachusetts General Hospital Women’s Mental Health fellowship.
Both medication and psychotherapy play an important role in the treatment of psychiatric conditions and I routinely use a combination of the two in my practice. I have completed additional training in psychotherapy through the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute fellowship in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Working with me, you will find a warm, caring psychiatrist who is easily accessible and values getting to know you. Empathy, trust, and support are the roots of my practice.
As women, we spend a lot of time taking care of others. I prioritize creating a space where you feel cared for.
It is truly a privilege for me to help other women with their mental health. I look forward to being a part of your team.
Deborah Knudson Gonzalez, MD
I am a double board-certified psychiatrist in adult and forensic psychiatry and completed additional fellowship training in Reproductive Psychiatry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where I later served as the Associate Director for the Women’s Mental Health Fellowship Program.
I have over a decade of experience in the treatment of reproductively aged women and specialize in perinatal psychiatry. With a strong focus on academia, I have held faculty positions at Yale University and Harvard Medical School, and I currently serve as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at USF where I am committed to training the next generation of psychiatrists in women’s mental health.
I have spoken locally and nationally on perinatal mental health issues, have served on committees developing state guidelines for the treatment of perinatal women and am currently a sub-investigator on a clinical trial that aims to study a novel treatment for postpartum depression.
Having guided many women through their perinatal journeys, I understand that it can be a time of confusion with conflicting data and varied opinions and my role is to provide clear, evidence-based information. Whether you are seeking ongoing care or a one-time perinatal consultation, I believe in collaborating with your medical team and in including your support system as desired.
Personally, I have a casual, non-judgmental approach to treatment and prioritize that you feel cared for and supported during challenging times. As a mother of two in a blended family, I am familiar with the challenges of balancing multiple responsibilities and approach life and treatment with humor.
